Presenter & Digital Producer 

12 months fixed term contract, 37 hours per week 

Grade C2 – £30,197 

MG ALBA are looking for a Presenter & Digital Producer – someone with a passion for our language and for social media. 

The role involves being a continuity announcer on the channel, writing scripts and recording voiceovers that are in keeping with BBC ALBA’s identity. You will also be involved in the production and curation of programme promotional materials for our many social media platforms.  

Our language is at the heart of our organisation and we are looking for someone with excellent Gaelic speaking and writing skills.  

The post holder will work as part of the Digital Hub covering a maternity period of 12 months and can be based in Stornoway or Glasgow.

Who are we? 

MG ALBA, Scotland’s Gaelic Media Service, operates the Gaelic television channel BBC ALBA in partnership with the BBC. We are also responsible for FilmG, in collaboration with Astar Media, and we deliver LearnGaelic and SpeakGaelic in partnership with the BBC and Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, supported by Bòrd na Gàidhlig and Bòrd na Ceiltis (Alba).

We have offices in Stornoway and Glasgow, the post can be based at either location.
