Full time (37 hours per week), permanent contract, base location Stornoway office, working flexibly

The Post

Are you able to lead a finance team, building internal and external relationships that lead to results?
And are you able to enable and inspire others during a period of change and agile working and develop commercial opportunities that deliver on strategic objectives? If yes, we would like to hear from you.

We are looking to speak with people who are qualified accountants, with some previous commercial and operational management experience. Gaelic is the working language of MG ALBA and so as a minimum we require a Gaelic learner with a commitment to engage with learning though we’d prefer fluency in written and spoken Gaelic.
This post provides an exciting opportunity for a business professional with a financial and operational background to be part of our Senior Management Team leading MG ALBA through a period of fast paced change in the media sector. The successful candidate will work most closely with the CEO, the Senior Management Team and the Chair and Board.

Who are we?
MG ALBA, Scotland’s Gaelic Media Service, operates the Gaelic television channel BBC ALBA in partnership with the BBC.

Where are we?
We have offices in Stornoway and Glasgow, and the post will be based in Stornoway.
